Founded in Harlem in the early 1930s, the New York Black Yankees barnstormed the Negro Leagues and left a lasting impression on baseball. When their Major League cross-borough counterparts were away, the “House that Ruth Built” became a cathedral to such greats as Fats Jenkins, Willie Wells and the great Satchel Paige.
